Permissions:

Slewer2 can be downloaded as self-extracting archive
or EXE file. You can extract the executable to your hard drive or run it directly from the archive.
The archive contains program files and readme.txt. If you are not familiar with folder
archiving and running EXE files, please install the archive file first.

Additionally, Slewer2 is distributed in the following formats:

Zip for Windows and Linux 32-bit users.

Zip for Mac OS X.

You can also download the Slewer2.zip archive and install the Slewer2 Plug-in for
CASE STUDIO into the directory My Computer/My Programs/User/Case, Or into the directory My
Computer/My Documents/Case. You can install in the latter way for multi-user systems.

Please uninstall any previously installed plugins or other applications from the Slewer2 Plug-in.

To uninstall, use the uninstaller in the Slewer2 Plug-in folder.

Slewer2 also contains the Slewer2.dll file for Windows users. You can move the Slewer2.dll file to the Windows system32 directory.What’s up, y’all. The Slewer2 Activation Code module has two controls:
Down limit: How far this hardware oscillator will be moved in the downwards direction before being’stopped’ The allowed range is -100V to +100V.
Up limit: How far this hardware oscillator will be moved in the upwards direction before being’stopped’ The allowed range is -100V to +100V.
Slewer2 can be used to smooth (soften) control or audio signals and to enforce limits on how far a signal can be moved in one sample. This is very useful for limiting audio or control signals.
Note that the limitations apply to downwards and upwards movement and not the rate of the oscillator. For example an oscillator can move 100V in a second and never be’stopped’.
Audio Example:
Without Slewer2 (Slewer is used):
0.1 V may be moved in a sample, and 0.1 V may be moved in the next sample, and so on.
With Slewer2 (Slewer2 is used):
0.1 V may be moved in a sample, but 0.01 V may be moved in the next sample.
This allows Slewer2 to be used for softening the control or audio signal that is being moved. For example, you may use Slewer2 to reduce the strength of a buffer tank oscillator, or a variable speed ADSR envelope generator, or a modulator-controlled oscillator to affect it’s envelope (peak to peak).
This also allows Slewer2 to be used to protect audio or control signals from being moved to far. For example, you may be applying a clamp or limiter on an audio signal and Slewer2 can enforce the maximum rate limit to protect audio from clipping.

What’s New in the Slewer2?

The Slewer2 module is a Volts/s to Volts/sec down converter with ramp rate limiting.
The module allows the rate of change of an audio or any other signal to be limited to a maximum value that is set by the user. Slewer2 is relatively slow to update, so the signals it generates do have a slight delay.
Limiting the maximum rate of change of a signal is useful in many audio applications, for instance, limiting the rate at which a midi controller is moved to keep a MIDI note on its sustain pedal for as long as desired.
Slewer2 Settings:
The Slewer2 settings allows the user to choose the type of control signal and the interval of control signals.
The rate control can be activated for audio signals, music signals, midi signals and control signals.
The output of the Slewer2 module can be any type of output module: Gate, Lightswitch, Meter, Pitch, Series, Status, Trigger, Modifier.
To set the rate control, the following settings can be adjusted:
• Rate – The maximum rate of change can be set in Volts/s to rate of change in Volts/sec.
• Release – The release time can be set to any time of the sample. The time can be set to any value from 0 to 255.
• Input – The input rate of change can be set to any rate of change in the sample. The time can be set to any value from 0 to 255.
• Freq – The frequency of the rate control can be set from 50 Hz to 50 kHz. The sample rate can be set to 50Hz or 200 Hz.
Limiting the rate controls the maximum rate of change of the data. For instance, if the rate is set to 30 V/sec and the signal has a rate of change of 100 V/sec then after 0.01 seconds the signal will start to change.
This module was designed to work with audio signals only. Although it will work with music signals, the Slewer2 module will only process the audio signal without affecting the note-on and note-off events.
The purpose of this module is to limit the maximum rate of change that is defined in Volts/s. It works in 2 bands.
